Impact of the Carbon cycle perturbations on carbonate platforms

We investigated stratigraphic and chemiostratigraphic platform to basin correlations for the reconstruction of the paleoecological impact of major Carbon cycle perturbations, and other events responsible for the change in sedimentary architecture of the platform margins. In collaboration with the Climate Geology group (Prof. Stefano Bernasconi and Helmut Weissert) and with various Italian Universities (Ferrara, Prof. V Luciani; Padova, Prof. N. Preto; Pavia, Prof. M. Cobianchi), we studied Jurassic and Cretaceous carbonate systems of the Southern Alps.
